What is a clinical trial report?
In addition to the results from the trial, the report contains detailed information about how the trial was done.
In the report, all information about the people who took part is anonymised. This means that the report does not contain any information that can identify people.
Short versions of the clinical trial report
The information in a clinical trial report is also available in two types of short documents:
- Clinical trial synopsis: written in technical language for researchers, health professionals, and authorities who approve medicines.
- Plain language summary: written in plain language for the general public and people who took part in the trial. A plain language summary is also known as a lay summary, layman summary, or layperson summary.
